ClearBox FPA is organized in two layers:
- an organization is the workspace
- an entity is the operating company you actually model
Most day-to-day setup, imports, forecasting, and analysis happen at the entity level, so getting the right entity selected matters before you start.
Create the organization first
Create the workspace from the organization selector.
Create the entity carefully
Inside the organization, + New Entity opens the setup form. The choices that carry consequences:
- Fiscal Year-End Month controls reporting boundaries and forecast close behavior, and is awkward to change after data exists.
- Organization Type and its classification fields shape the chart of accounts and reporting.
- Website lets the AI pull company context for setup help later.
If you create multiple operating entities, ClearBox FPA also creates a consolidation entity for combined reporting.
Check the active context before you work
The top shell keeps separate organization and entity selectors. Confirm both before importing data or editing a forecast; most work targets whichever entity is active.
Know where work happens next
- Data Setup for imports, chart of accounts, and setup inputs
- Forecasting for versions, assumptions, schedules, drivers, and dimensions
- Analysis for read-only actuals review
- Reports for presentation-ready reporting
Best next step
Go to Data Setup next and either:
- import actuals
- review the chart of accounts before importing
