Run Sensitivity Analysis

Premium

Compare planning scenarios side by side.

Use Sensitivity Analysis for quick one-factor testing. Use versions and scenarios when you want hand-built cases that you can open and edit directly.

Open the Sensitivity Analysis page

Open Sensitivity analysis from a forecast's row menu. On the page, set the Analysis name, Version, Metric, Period range, and Shock, then Save & Run.

Read the output

Completed analyses show:

  • a tornado-style impact chart
  • a ranked results table
  • a saved-analysis list you can reopen later

Use this page when you want to answer questions like:

  • What moves Net Income the most?
  • Which assumption hurts Ending Cash fastest?
  • Which input matters enough to build a real scenario around?

Build hand-made versions and scenarios

For a case you can actually open and edit, use the forecast list instead of the Sensitivity Analysis page. Expand the forecast (or use Explore scenarios from its menu), then add a + New Version for a clean branch or a + Scenario for a case tied to a specific version. Make one deliberate change and name it clearly.

Good names:

  • Upside - Higher Volume
  • Downside - Slower Collections
  • Board Case - Hiring Freeze

Less useful names:

  • Scenario 2
  • New Version
  • Test

Compare the result in Analysis

When you want side-by-side statement output, go to Analysis and use Compare to to select the version or scenario you want against the base case.
