Cash Planning is the weekly liquidity workspace. It handles near-term cash timing; use the monthly forecast for long-range planning.
Start from the cash forecast list
Open Cash Planning from the left navigation. The landing page shows your cash forecasts in a table with source, current week, length, and last modified information.
Know what each tab is for
- Dashboard gives you a quick liquidity summary before you start editing.
- Cash Flow is the main weekly view for receipts, disbursements, and ending cash.
- Planned Items is where repeating and planned cash items live.
- AR / AP shows expected collections and payments.
- Recommended Payments helps you review suggested payment timing.
- Monthly Bridge compares the weekly cash plan against a monthly forecast; it appears once the entity has a forecast to compare against.
Use Cash Flow for week-by-week review
The Cash Flow tab is the core operating view. It combines:
- summary rows such as beginning cash and ending cash
- weekly columns
- receipt and disbursement categories
- imported items plus manual timing adjustments where allowed
Expect setup dependencies
Cash Planning works best when these are already in place:
- Weekly Cash Categories are configured
- imported transactions are landing in the right rows
- payment timing rules are reasonably clean
If imported activity is landing in the wrong place, fix the category setup first. If expected payment timing looks wrong, review Payment Terms and AR/AP Timing and Reconciliation and Modifiers next.
